Damn. That was bad. Looks like that chute was too big. King of hard to tell-because of the distance to the camera, but it looked like the back end of the car got airborne after the parachute was deployed. Most importantly, though, it is good to hear that the driver 'walked away'.

brewerz28 10-26-2010 06:35 AM

there was a 10-20mph headwind and a wicked crosswind at times and they think when it deployed it got thrown off track and pulled the car off the runway. He still ran 235mph. And walked away. lol I dont think he was worried about the car. His name is Jonah and owns 3-4 lambos all with underground racing TT kits on the car. That orange car put down 1938hp.

Nevermind im sorry thats not Jonah's car..err it was..Now its owned by Richard Holtz.

Why would you deploy the chute? Youd think that 1/2 mile of shut down would be more than enough to slow down without one. Unless his brakes failed which is highly doubtful.

lucky guy to live through that.

those thinks have MASSIVE brakes,, i dont see why he had to use one.

most 1/4 mile tracks have 1/2 to 3/4 shutdown, and they use parachutes

Because its a TT Lambo, and everybody thinks its soooo cool to have a chute on a street car... So since it was there, he had to pull it.

Almost like having wheelie bars when you don't need them...
