Cant win them all....

You can load the Sy on a trailer and pull it home with the Lightning. Doubt you could put the Lightning on a trailer and pull it home with a Sy.

04ctd 01-31-2011 07:16 PM

how hard did he 'spool the syclone to launch like that?

it looks like it squats pretty hard.

how much were Sy/Ty back in the day? I remember the dealer in VA had one forever.

275hp was a LOT of hp back in the day.

the stock mustang 5.0 was what, 225? and the IROC 230?
and they were heavy.

Well I have seen alot of these trucks race and that truck may be stock
but the boost on the truck has to be pretty high to leave like that. I call BS on the whole stock thing.

dkbmxer002 01-31-2011 07:49 PM

either way it is a 20 year old truck that was wayyy ahead of its time. i love those damn things.

MonteC 01-31-2011 07:55 PM

Were they awd? or just two wheel?

04ctd 01-31-2011 08:04 PM

AWD. that was the significance of them: power, light weight, high traction.

it was evolution of the Grand National V6 that really worked well.

I will own one some day..... Hmmmmmm randy you thinkin what im thinking

LXtasy 01-31-2011 08:32 PM

the typhoons and cyclones both were a turbo 4.3 AWD automatic vehicle. Very nice vehicles for sure. And I agree with Paul. I too, think they were ahead of the times.

I've always wanted either an 89'Turbo TA or a Typhoon.

0-60 was 4.3 stock. Thats looks stock to me. Its gonna leave hard its awd with a decent amount of torque.

MonteC 01-31-2011 10:07 PM
