And it begins
Car finally made it to the shop to begin the turbo build. I should have an idea in a few hours the direction the builder would like to go once he has had it on the lift , we will hash out details. The goal is to get 400RWHP with the small exhaust housing and then we will see once I build a bottom end what we can do with a bigger housing and ALOT more boost. I am staying away from any boost controller for now since boost is a billion times more addictive than crack and I don't want to be building a motor right after I get home. Hopefully once I get home and the car tuned and some seat time it will be time to get on the Top Dog list http://www.websmileys.com/sm/evil/teu42.gif

Man go ahead and do it once ! Get a teksid block ( 96 - 98 cobra block ) they can handle more than 1000 hp with the right internals and go from there . Also I would invest in a manual boost controller to keep the boost down . Because sometimes those wastegate springs can get wore out and uh-oh to much boost !

I had originally planned on doing the block first, but the deal for the turbos came up and was too good to pass up. Now if you would like to foot the bill for my shortblock I will do it now. As for teksid vs WAP the only failure of an aluminum mod block I have heard of is from rods going through them. I will probably end up with the cammer block, since there is not much of a differenc ein the price of a wet sleeved block compared to a block meant to be a big bore
