carolina today
took the ole RCF to carolina today and ran in the bracket race, which i sucked at like usual, but once most the racing was done i got to take it down the 1/4. did pretty good other than the first one i shifted to neutral which didnt work out well and hit 9k. but on the second pass everything worked well but i didnt get to hold it trough bc of the 373 in the rear. i managed to get a 10.03 out of it and man does that feel different on the big end when you got to stop. hope to take it there again and try for a little faster

Congrats man. :)

itll go 9s when you hold it through... good pass man!

Nice. I passed you on 78 and thought you broke something on Dorchester originally.
It should really ride out with your 88mm. lol |
yeah the bigger turbo should help and if i go down on the gear it should help make it through but may slow it down in the 1/8th. dont know how much more i can get out of it with 93 pump gas. i guess i will see
|
that stock motor isnt going to like the 88 though the 1/4, byebye pistons
|
just tryin to get the most out of it for now

Need a 3.42 - 3.55 gear in it on the 1/4 mile. You can get away with a much taller gear on a FI car. The big torque should pull through if the converter is right.
I have a 3.73 in the 8.8 that is going in the Jimmy, but I may switch it to a 3.55 if I stay with a 26" tire. |
That's almost the exact time I ran with 4.30's when I was came only with a lot of nitrous. I had to let out at the 1,000ft marker because my tach was pegged out, went a 10.003.
|
yeah i got some 3.55s that i might try but worried it may try and push throught the converter. i guess it wont hurt to try anyways just as long as it dont hurt the 1/8thmile too bad. might make it into the 9s someday

700 ci should run in the 9's don't ya think>
|
I think that 700ci theory may be flawed.
|
I wonder what the fastest shortblock time is..
