Well the 4.8L record run is over..
 

So the guy who had ran the 11.0 just went 10.9 and followed it up with a 10.84 last night. He's got some crazy traps at 129MPH. Claims to weigh in at 4200.

Feeling lil shitty though, I think red would have made the first 10 second run 2 months ago if the damn 900TQ trans build would hold my weak ass TQ.

Ahh well, guess I need to set a new goal now.

If you ever get chance to buy his 4l80 trans (ckperformance), save yourself the trouble.

Well it's the black sheep of the GM power plants. If it doesn't have cubes, it won't perform is the common logic for a large % of guys who build these trucks. I don't think it's a far stretch to believe this guy does have the fastest stock 4.8L, at least in a FS chevy. Till someone claims otherwise and is willing to prove it, it is what it is. People can always lie or keep their times to themselves.

In this hobby, it's mostly based on goals. Whether it's winning races, going faster, or being the first at something.

To each their own.

I like the 4.8, they run really good with mods. My brothers truck is one of the first 4.8 trucks with a Z06 cam. Its really impressive how they respond to boost.
