cylinder heads

does any one know if lightning heads are the same as anything else? What can you get them off of? I need some. Just need to know what to get. I do not want ported heads. Just stock.

I'm pretty sure any Ford Modular V8 head will work. Preferably a P.I. head. Some of these other guys will know more.

I know my built motor has Romeo heads (normally went on a 4.6)

are these for replacements?? If they are count the bolts for the valve covers so we know romeo or windsor, could be a non-point since I know very little about lightnings. If you have the truck the same year F-150 4.6 0r 5.4 should bolt right up.

I counted 12 bolts in the drivers side valvecover.

looking around the internet a few minutes, you should be good with heads off of any 2001 or newer 2v( romeo 8th digit of your vin should be a W) . I am not sure if any of the guys down hinesville still have a set or not, you could ask http://racingperformancemustangs.net/smf/index.php

If you go the JY route look for the trucks heads since for some reason they tend to charge more for the mustang heads. I sent a message to a guy that had some for sale a month or so back to see if he still has them, I knoe there where a few sets up on the corral as well
