one rod came completely off the crank. 3 others broke. pistons in a million pieces. 2 holes in the block

Im assuming it was rods you can see a couple of holes in the block on the third pic. Can anything else do that?

Ya, anything metal going through a running cyl could bust a hole in a cast block, a broke piston could do it.

I just wanted to know if he knew the origin of the failure, but if an end cap broke on a rod, most likely thats what started it.

Like with Bill's block and the hydro lock, thats the origin.

yeah im not sure of the orgin randy. but it made a mess. one of the rods is j-shaped
