Lost another one to DiTech. Not a Lightning customer, but a guy called and ordered the Vampire, then emailed back a couple days later to cancel, saying his tuner had talked him out of it.

My tuner did raise a good point though. As long as the tune is safe and I dont run too much boost, thats as safe as it can get with a stock motor. The thing that usually kills these motors is a lack of fuel in boosted situations, due to pump failure, or charging system malfunction, by the time the system would detect the detonation its pretty much too late for the stock pistons. So I'm probably just going to invest in a forged shortblock that can handle a bit of detonaiton without harm. But I do see alot of potential in your system and thank you for your insight.

Someone is going to make a lot more money selling this guy a built short block than they would selling him a knock controller.
