Yeah, I hear it has to do with containment's that stick in some places and a flush will bring them into places they should not be? Or something to that effect.

In the service records the tranny has been flushed 5-6 times in the whole 30 pages of crap done to it.

I may just add the cooler and call it a day. Just don't want a Carolina summer to make the tranny take a dump. Its been in Chi-town all its life.
Also, when I say iffy.....it maybe normal for this automatic, I know my LS430 did the same thing (same 5sp auto). Slow stop taking a left or right hand turn with giving it 20ish % throttle it stays in the same gear so I would have to put more % throttle to get it to down shift so, if I am trying to get across oncoming traffic taking a left turn and I need to zip across, it just walks along?? idk how else to describe that. But normal merging onto the interstate it shifts at X rpm and does its thing, no flaring of the rpm before or after the shift. Maybe this is just normal for this tranny. None of my other cars did this but the LS430......
