If I got caught doing everything I've done on the highway, I'd be in trouble, too. If he's been caught that many times, imagine how many he got away with. Rap sheets are not usually tied to strictly traffic violations.
My point is that he apparently goes out of his way to try to catch someone else doing wrong.
Most officers are just doing their jobs, and breaking the law is not a reason to hate them. Some take it too far. I have been run into the median on 526 to and from work by reckless drivers and wished the police were nearby.
This guy now has folk hero status, so I guess he got what he wanted.
