That smoke from the tail pipes was not because it was a cold day (it was about 100*F)........
That was a 200k mile LS1 junk motor shortblock from F-body motorsports. We put a set of Katech rod bolts in it and put my topend back on it. I picked it up after spinning a crank bearing on my factory motor (there were 3 or 4 of us in a few weeks time with the same failure). This Shitty shortblock still made 465/412. I kinda miss that car, but not the color so much
