Sucks for that dog because it was doing what it thought it should do, but the owner put himself and the dog in that situation and the outcome was unfortunate. He was obviously trying to aggravate the officers (or however you want to describe it) with the way he was filming them. And after he put the dog in the car and walked towards the officers- that wasn't cooperation. And it wasn't cooperation when he turned around and put his hands behind his back either. That has him "bein hard boi. Because he aint give da fuck."
I seem to say the same thing every time I see stuff like this, but I will say it again- If you go looking for drama, don't be mad when you find it.
On another note, you can see the officer reach for the leash at one point. His first instinct appeared to be to try to control the dog, it just wasn't working out. I can guarantee that officer doesn't want to shoot animals, no officer does. It's a no win situation and you know you are going to catch hell.
