Yea, Wes you are right. Typically a non-extended plug is colder by design. I am not familiar with NGK plugs, like Jeff posted I run Autolites. Their AR series is a pretty good plug. The AR3911 is a non-extended plug, non-extended helps stop predetenation, that is typical in nitrous vehicles. Those old plugs looked oily, like there was a little valve float, when you hit the box...
