Delete the wiring harness, and use a dist from an early 80's stang ( if its not got a roller cam) if it does have a roller cam get a dist from an 85. Has the right gear and setup for using an ignition box vs a harness.
I'd still run an electric fuel pump. Get a returnless style that you can dead head at the carb like a Holley blue or something. Is this going to be a race / toy or just a cruiser?
IMO, if it has the EFI setup, and it works. Leave it alone. Better fuel mileage ease of use ( less tinkering with the carb, let the computer do the adjusting to weather conditions), and looks cooler.
