So, here's how the guys at work don't break those plugs:
IGNORE THE FORD TSB!
Warm the engine up
Use a 12V impact to remove the plugs
This seems to soften up the carbon that gets the plugs stuck in the first place. They still break, sometimes, but it is rare when done this way. When you do it Ford's way-loosen the plugs, pour carb cleaner down the holes and let sit before slowly working them back and forth-you are pretty much guaranteed to break 6 out of 8 plugs.
