Default Not what I wanted to be doing this weekend

Fishing for needle bearings. This one was on the side drain plug.

Try to fish the needle bearings and metal out with magnet at the oil pan & pushrod holes to find the other 32 needle bearings. If I can't find them all I will have to drop the pan.

how much lift are you running?

seems like the majority of the people with rocker failure are over .600 lift...

thats shitty neal, i've seen ls7 cams at .700 lift. trunion upgrade sounds like a no brainer now. i crack open my rocker covers every oil change and check them, so far so good. my cam is only .605 lift. stay away from the bigger billet rocker arms, they are heavy and unless you got some super springs, they start getting sloppy in the upper rpms.

.630 lift on the intake side and it was an intake rocker that broke. Never had an issue with my 01 Z28 & was over .600 and my TBSS which is over .600 also.

Yeah the aftermarket rockers are heavy. Just going to do the trunion upgrade on the stockers and try to get all of these needle bearings out.

Sorry to hear this man. Sounds like you found this right about the same time I was pressing mine out yesterday. Hope you find them all and it works out. The swap/upgrade isn't bad.

Couple shots of my operation Trunion:

Got the rockers done last night. Thanks to Ray for letting me use his Press and to both him and Kevin for lending a hand to speed the process up.

Just waiting on this oil pickup gasket to arrive on Friday that had to come from Michigan.
