Alright I bought a used stroker assembly for my mod motor, the shop that took it out said it was usable and that is what was quoted by the seller when he put it up for sale. I had it shipped to a machine shop that said he did not wanna work with the cut pistons and the crank was scored on the snout, I called the guy and told him what the shop said but to be fair took the stuff to another machine shop for second opinion, they said they could work with the pistons but not the crank . Am I being unfair when I ask him for $250 back since the crank is not usable??

That is tough call. Typically parts are sold AS-IS.
But, worth a shot. If he says get bent than go with it. I know that I have PERSONALLY taken a radio out of one vehicle and hooked it up in another and well, cd player part didn't work. But it did 2 weeks prior to install in another vehicle. SHit happens.

I am getting $250 back from and shipping him back the crank, maybe he will find a shop that says it can be used ( would kinda suck for me since I have had 2 say they will not work with it) So I got about half what the new one will cost me
