Default F/S SCT Flip-Chip

I have a SCT flip-chip pulled from a 2003 Mustang GT. It comes with the cable and selsctor switch. Worked fine when removed from trade-in. Should be ok now.

SCT info page

$175 OBO

I thought they are vehicle specific and can't be transfered from one car to another?

Just get it reburned and it should be fine. I have one sitting around since forever ago, still haven't done anything with it. I think it fits even fox ecu's.

They don't seem to ask for your application when ordering direct from SCT. They do say that it is shipped blank when brand new. I think that means it should be reburnable for any vehicle listed on their site. Didn't Lil' Mike get his chip used?

Really don't know. I know Chris Tuten burned the tunes. Needless to say. You just can't plug it in and re use the tunes on it now.

Correct, as they may be set up for a different combo.

Price change: $175 obo. Found a cut in the cable from the switch to the chip (our used car guy probably cut it) Probably fixable, but deducted the amount of the new ccable.

Depends on the "mods" of the other vehicle if any. Usually you can call up a company like jms chips and any other sct dealer and they can help you out. Even if it entails shipping the chip to them to reflash. Still cheaper than brand new.

Cool

SCT Flip chips are VIN locked and need to be erased/cleared before they are reburned.

That doesn't matter if the buyer is planning on having it custom tuned regardless, that's the whole point of buying the chip. This is a nice way of storing tunes if the person wants the ability to switch on the fly. I use this for my tunes so I can just switch tunes and spray whenever I want.
