I actually listened, and still do listen, to both styles of music. The NWA stuff was great to get baked and cruise around to. Hell, look at the colaboration with Anthrax and Public Enemy. Even two monsters of ther respective genres understood that the two vastly different styles could coexist.

Granted, thrash is not for everyone; but you have to admit, Chris, that it takes a ton of talent, creativity, and musicianship to write and play what these guys did.
