Are the chargers limited to 133? I think that he probably wanted to go faster.

I don't have a problem with:
-The driver being ripped from his vehicle, after an adrenaline-charged case, and being punched in the face until he is subdued. Reason: Maybe if more "runners" got right hooks to the jaw after being caught, on video, people would think twice about starting these chases in the first place. Don't start nuthin..won't be nuthin.. I do have a problem with: - Unmarked or Marked cruisers going 100+ mph and crossing into oncoming lanes during anything short of National Emergency/Alien invasion. Reason: We have families and friends on those roads. I don't give a shit if the police force is made up of Michael Schumachers, the conditions (high speed in a POS cruiser, past unsuspecting motorists) will result in a nasty, fatal collision at some point. I'd rather let criminals get away for now (get caught later) just so those estimated 360 people didn't die every year. -The working dog allowed "free Reign" to bite the shit out of a dude who, by the looks of the video, was convincingly subdued. Reason: Punching is one thing, but letting a fanged/clawed animal have his way on a restrained human is pushing the boundaries of any "Use of Force" Doctrine that I've ever seen. It's a little "savage" for my taste when it comes to dealing with Non-War related shit. What's next? Maybe have some officers throw trained Pythons on "runners" and have them squeeze the shit out of them? How about a Honey Badger unit? Jar full of fire ants unit? K-9 Units need to know their role. Sucks you showed up and the dude was already caught/being dealt and didn't get a chance to do your job (foot chase), but that doesn't mean sick Cujo on him to justify your presence. If you can't handle your role/working dog..hit the bricks, pal. I feel "meh" about: -A restrained criminal getting bitch-slapped in the back of the cruiser by an officer. Reason: Overall, "Meh" to that...not a big deal when put into context with everything else going wrong in this police chase. |

^^^ Amen to all of the above. Although a Honey Badger unit would be pretty BAMF.

A high speed chase that goes on that long without the subject vehicle even being in sight is blatantly putting civilian drivers at risk. The only cruisers that have any justification of going that fast for that long would be the ones with the subject vehicle in their direct sight.
If a cop is 15 to 20 miles away from the action, WTF is he/she expecting to accomplish by driving like a maniac for that long? All that public endangerment for someone with a suspended license that drove a little erratically to start with. If the Motorollas are so good, why have a 15 to 20 mile high speed chase like that without the subject in sight?

You'd be surprised at what they can do with the pedders kits on them.
