RC's muffler shop

Just a warning,I called RC's muffler shop and asked them to get me an appointment for the 2nd last friday, they said no problem and put me on the books.
I showed up today for my appointment to have my cat's and muffler's done and they didn't even have the muffler's (they gave me the excuse that alot of people dont make their appointments so they didn't order the muffler till I was standing in front of them) then they tell me it will be an hour and a half to get the muffler.
Then they tried to sell me on another muffler,then they decided that the price they quoted me on the phone was too low and they wanted to charge an additional 130$ for cat removal that I already had in the first quote, then they wanted to charge me an additional 95$ for tips that were included in the origional quote.
Then after all that they decided that they didn't take credit cards (even though the logo is on their door) and they wanted cash only.
Needless to say ,I told them toget my truck off the lift, Kiss My @$$ and walked out

Dude that sucks. I was actually going there next Friday (appointment) to get exhaust on my car. They do seem kind of wishy washy over the phone. They give quotes and then kind of move around on them. I heard that they do good work but I was kind of nervous going there because I want it done and don't want the hassle that you went through. Anywhere else to go? I tried the place on Remount and he wasn't willing to dual it out.

Bob at The Muffler Station. He is on Miles Road in Ladson/Summerville, near the Greenhurst subdivision. He has done 3 or 4 cars of mine and did Mike's midpipe for him. Nice guy and does the work himself. Not sure about the credit card situation.

You could try Bob's muffler bender on trolly rd. Thats who did mine and he was quick about it. Barely cost anything too. it was only 75 dollars for the install. I will try to get his number for you.

Im sorry you had that kind of experience up there. That really sucks b/c they do great work and Ive never had any of the problems like youve had. Im just affraid that a good exhaust shop has just lost some peoples business.

Not concerned with the credit card situation, If they would have told me cash only I would have braught cash, Problem is they had the logo's on the door and the swipe machine sitting there, once informed of this they said it only works monday thru thursday.

HAHAHA.....that is the funniest thing I have ever heard. Sounds to me the owner wasnt there and someone wanted to pocket some extra money.
