why is it that the only people who complain about track prep at Dorchester are the people who don't need track prep to begin with?
just curious- and that was not directed at jay 99z- he just reminded me to ask the question.

i often hear people in the staging lanes complaining about the track prep and i want to tell them- it's not the track. your car sucks, your suspension sucks, you can't drive, and those are just a couple of the reasons you are a fucking turtle.

Good thing I don't have that problem, I can hook on black ice at my power level!

For me Track prep can make a huge difference though, but I have rarely had a problem at dorchester.

I went to Low Country 3 weeks in a row, and could not get any better then a 1.6x 60'.

With no other changes, I went out to Dorchester, and went a 1.4x 60'

*insert Jay's saying*

This was all by dorchesters timing system?

Sorry, I had to say it before he chimed in real quick.

To me, at all my subturtle power levels I never had a problem, unless I was on street tires, but than again, you learn to drive and it is ok.

oh yeah, i agree 100%-
i was talking specifically about Dorchester. People dog out the track all the time but the track hooks great, and 60' times are awesome there.
i was ranting more about the guys with street tires on cars that are slammed to the ground, no real type of suspension, and they dump the clutch and blame Dorchester for their tire spin.
It drives me nuts.

side note- you guys cut 1.4x's in those heavy ass trucks? i had no idea, thats awesome!

I went there once. It wasn't hooking for anyone when I was there. I usually have 1.5x 60'. Best I could muster was a 1.70. I tried all different tire pressures, no go. I just have LCA's, but the power level didn't change from the faster times to the slower ones, the track did.

We've been told there is a Bowman track, and the wife and I haven't checked it out yet. Anyone have a link to their site or know what there schedule is like?

why do all of the fast guys go to orangeburg to test real doorslammers?because they will over power a marginal track like dorchester. VPRC fastest chassis on the planet. sheppard is the best for some reason tho

We have a section on this forum just for you. "Budget Grudge racing". Where 5 dollars is a big money race .......and don't worry that's all I can grudge race for too, actually I'd need 5 of my buddies to help me come up with the 5 dollars.

Both tracks are open on Sunday. You can always go up there and test and tune, you don't have to grudge race. I think midway does bracket racing often.
