OK, does anybody know how to remove a speed cal box (dallas mustang) from my POS cobra? The speedometer isn't working now and I really need to know how fast I am going. My other problem is the BBK throttle body. It either sticks really bad or the car will die when you push the clutch in. If anybody knows how to fix these problems, I pay in cash

Hey Jason. Don't know if this will help, but, the '97 GT I have has the speed-cal on it. It is just in front of the shifter, under the console. I can take the plate around the shifter loose, and the box is right there...

Have you adjusted the idle screw?
Have you replaced or cleaned you IAC? Your speedcal should be right in front of your shifter area. I would check the wiring for that to make sure it is all secure.

I checked the wiring on the speedcal, it was all good, but the damn thing still didn't work right, so I pulled it off and re-wired the output shaft sensor from the transmission. After reprogramming the CPU with my predator (including adjusting for the 4.30 gears), the speedo works great and the car has stopped dieing when you push the clutch in at speed. I guess I will be selling the predator along with the car now.
