Default Chevelle

We got it running tonight. It all went fairly well. We are going to finish everything up tomorow.

Can't wait to see it back out. Hopefully it's back to where it was quickly enough to climb up the TDL list.

Yea. we really didnt say much about it but, one of the intake valves broke off at the head. pistion pushed the head of the valve through the combustion chamber in to the water jacket. little pieces of valve went through all of the cylinders. It got the cam also. it was 70 over its 100 over now. new pistions, cam, and heads. Alot of other small stuff. The old heads were ported 049 oval port heads. about 260cc. intake runners. It has dart pro 1's with 340cc runners now. They might not do much. The heads we had are awsome heads for what they are. The heads we have now are a little over kill, but we wanted room to grow and we got a good deal on them.

Working my engine knowledge and things other than bolt-ons. Maybe I can help when I get re-stationed there with someone doing an engine rebuild. -Shane

Heres are some pics.

This the same type of head it had on it. Just a little more rusty.

This the new heads. Put the gasket under the intake ports for comparison.

This what we started with. I let the guy we deal with put it together. I know he knows whats hes doing and less work for me.

Cant really see it but it says dart 335. They have had a little more port work done to them.

Just doing a little mock up to see how its going to look.

I like the girdles. They just look cool.

Ready to go in the car.

In there. Jesse did most of the work. I just helped with the big stuff.

Just about ready.

I havent taken any of it done yet. I'll do it today.

Looks good! Those heads are big, they ought to flow a bunch and make that Chevelle run strong.
