New from Summerville
Been living in Summerville for about 3 years now, just recently heard about this forum. I have 2 z28's, a 98 and an 00. The 2000 used to be my daily driver until I got a company car and after that happened its been in CT. The end of May I will finally have that car at my house again. The 98 has a cam and the usual, but will stay in CT at my fathers (lift and climate controlled garage haha)...
The 2000 will have headers hopefully by the time I get it down here or shortly after, a slp dual dual catback, ls6 intake and a lid....just a regular bolt on car, but much more fun to drive around than my company car! Its red so if you see it down here, thats me (may have CT plates on it for a while). Long term goal is a blown ls3, but for now the bolt on ls1 will have to do... My 98 is going to be a c5r headed 427 one day (I have the c5r heads and a few other things, but need about an extra 15k to finish the rest of the motor...) Most of you may shake your heads, but I am in the middle of a project that I am HOPING will be done soon. It is still at the shop for welding (I can't weld unfortunately), but I am hoping it will be complete soon. It is a shifter kart chassis that I am modifying to fit on a 2007 zx10r motor. I am hoping I can take it to the local 1/8th mile once its completed to see what she will do... Are there any car shows/cruise nights around here besides SSS which I heard starts at like 10pm?? Something a little earlier would be nicer. Back in CT there for 4 days a week minimum that I could go to a car show/cruise night during the summer, now that I am in perpetual summer SC, there is nothing around it seems which is odd... Dont be afraid to say hi if you see me driving around once my car is here, look forward to meeting some fellow gear heads in the area |

 Thats a picture of my kart chassis before I sent it to a shop in Charleston to mate it to my motor. I do not have any pictures of my camaros or the motor on my work computer, but I will add them when I get back home this week. Do any of you guys go to the drag strip often? (Is there like a "street night" at the one thats in jedburg?) I haven't made it there yet (embarrassing since I live so close...) Thanks for the warm welcoming! |
