LEXAN= name brand of polycarbonate

http://www.eharwood.com/catalog/cata...category=LEXAN

http://www.professionalplastics.com/POLYCARBONATESHEET

I know Home depot sells polycarbonate (lexan stuff) but I am unsure if they carry it in a 4x8 sheet. Worth a shot though. It is not listed online, but that doesn't mean they don't have it. Check in the windows section though

so lexan is the name brand, therefore is way more expensive, so if i ask if they have polycarbonate it would be cheaper, right?

Yes.

When I say Kleenex(r) you think of tissues right? Kleenex(r) is a brand.

When I say Band-aid(r) you think of adhesive bandages right? Band-aid(r) of course being the brand.

All lexan(r) windows are polycarbonate, but all polycarbone is not Lexan(r)

Not bad. But you are saving $30 and need to think if gas and 2-3 hours is worth just the $30 savings.
