Still trying to download the video, might have seen it already. Two short stories for me though..
Two Middle East deployments ago for me we landed in Houston on the way home and our next and final plane left without over 50 of us  So the airport got a plane and a crew and took us home the rest of the way. That was cool.  Last deployment we flew back from Bahrain on the crew I am with now and we landed in Houston as well. We took a bus from Houston to Corpus to finish off the trip. We were met in Victoria by the Freedom Riders. Very pro-Military and very very anti-Wesboro Baptist Church. Burger King bought 80 of use #1 value meals and about 20 Freedom Riders escorted us the rest of the way home. When we pulled through the gates of base there were about 50 more men, woman and children from the Freedom Riders all in a row on either side of the road soluting us. It was great..even get choked up writting about it. I sent them a letter thanking them for the great welcome home. -Shane
