![]() ![]() Been trying forever to get this thing in the 6's on pump gas. This is the second .01 Ive got trying to do it. Went .0X all weekend at two different tracks and couldnt make it happen. Pretty sure Randy got a vid or my 7.01 vid and Rob (Foose) has a vid of one of my runs from Bowman. |

Damn that's stout on pump gas, but your mph is down 1-2mph for 6.9x. You still running meth right? Put some more timing in it.

Even with Methanol we can't get it to go more than 12* on the 93 around here with his compression ratio and boost. I think he's running around 17-18 psi. He tried to lighten it up lastnite with my fronts but then the rears went away. We've only run it on c16 once, and it was in the summer with around 19*. It went 6.8's but the MPH was low then too (IIRC 99?) and I looked at the log and seen where it was around 10* at around half track from the PCM pulling timing. I need some more time with the C16 and the right conditions, if everything looked good and it hooked i'm fairly certain i could get it to run 6.6x with some locked timing and a lil leaner mix.

One thing I have noticed watching trucks in drag racing is that mph seems to suffer once speeds get over 70-75 mph as compared to cars which are more aerodynamically friendly.

You know, you could put a 50 shot on it and it would still be "pump gas"...

Yeah I can shave a metric shit ton of weight but then you start getting into the grey area of whether or not its a street car.
Front bogarts Remove front bumper core Remove A/C Remove CC Tubular LCA's Manual rack Remove passenger seat Kirkey seat Roll pan Remove the 300# of audio equipment that's currently installed Reinstall the much lighter stock hood The more extreme reduction would be an aluminum block, TH400 and 9". |

I think removing any stereo stuff behind the seats, wheels/tires, and stock hood would help a great deal. There has to be someone that makes a tubular lightweight bumper support to save some weight.

What looks good is the short time. A 1.52 is a pretty decent time for any street car, much less a 5k truck.
