Anyone running an oil pressure safety switch?

One of my next mods is to install some kind of device to monitor oil pressure. I have been searching and see that installing an oil pressure gauge looks pretty simple. But I was thinking... wouldn't and oil pressure safety switch be more beneficial? I mean, then you wouldn't have to worry about looking at the gauge to see what the pressure is. If the pressure dips below a certain amount, the switch will just kill the engine. Is anyone running one of these and what do you think about this idea?

Did something similar to that on my friend's race car. We used the warning light sender and teed it off to a relay inline with the MSD. It took some getting used to the fact that the engine would not fire until it built oil pressure. Definately not a bad idea, though. I have thought about doing the same kind of thing on a nitrous system. If I ever spray my engine, that is. Basically have it turn off the nitrous solenoid if the fuel pressure drops. Again, sounds like a good idea. One other thing to can do, although more costly, is to run an accumulator. This way, if you ever starve the pickup, or if your oil pump takes a shit, you have some lubrication to back it up.

Installing a Fuel Pressure Safety Switch (Hobbs Switch) is actually pretty common in the nitrous world. I have one on my system. All it does is sever the ground for the solenoids if the fuel pressure drops below a certain PSI.

I was looking into accumulators but I'm trying to keep the weight down on my truck and adding another 1 1/2-3 quarts + the accumulator isn't what I really want to do.
