60': 1.603 330: 4.510 1/8: 6.966 MPH: 99.68 1000: 9.089 1/4: 10.875 MPH: 126.52 I need some suspension work or something because I couldn't get this thing to 60' for anything. The 10 was on my 10/10th run. My first was my slowest of the day. The truck weighed 4680 and I ran two different tunes. My (boost) race tune is 18 PSI, 16* timing, and 11.3 A/F. My (nitrous) race tune is 18 PSI, 11* timing, and a super-pig-rich A/F that was anywhere between 10.8 and 9.8 depending on the shot. It was more toward the 10.8 on the 75 shot and richer on the 100 shot. I'm gonna talk to Rick about leaning-out the nitrous tune a little. Like I said, I couldn't get it to 60', so I threw in the 100 shot jets for one run and the above time is what it produced. I know it has a lot left in it but I need to do some work... I was messing with the rear shocks a lot to see what setting would be the best for this track. I ended up going with 2 clicks on the drivers side rear and 3 clicks on the passenger side rear. The fronts were zeroed out. I started out with the rears all the way stiff and adjusted down from there. You can see in some of my last runs that the dialing of the shocks was working for me.... 1: 60' - 1.678 / ET - 11.494 @ 118.45 2: 60' - 1.635 / ET - 11.331 @ 119.15 3: 60' - 1.645 / ET - 11.352 @ 117.78 4: 60' - 1.636 / ET - 11.280 @ 120.77 5: 60' - 1.711 / ET - 11.331 @ 123.01 6: 60' - 1.774 / ET - 11.346 @ 123.79 7: 60' - 1.578 / ET - 11.243 @ 122.69 (Fuel was too low and bogged the engine on launch) 8: 60' - 1.569 / ET - 11.151 @ 125.90 (Same fuel issue. This is where I realized that the fuel was too low) 9: 60' - 1.618 / ET - 11.082 @ 124.10 10: Time listed above... I think I would've ripped off some better times on runs 7 & 8 if my fuel wasn't too low. It caused my engine to bog/stutter right after the launch. I added some more fuel after run 8 and it solved the issue. I'm happy with the 10 but I'm kinda sad that it took a 100 shot to make it happen. I know this truck is capable of all boost 10's, but it needs some work. |

Where did you run at? I think I read where Fade said that you could run some low #'s with out getting kicked out.

I looked up the track. COOL. Wish I would have known you were going I would have went. If I dont get a cage in the car to run at Carolina on the 10th. I might go to Silver Dollar.

Nice runs. Sometimes track prep makes it hard to get a handle on launching. Mike had that problem at a local track, then went to a different track and picked up a lot. Jackson next week will definately be well prepped - "The House of Hook". Our local track here, Dorchester Dragway also hooks very well.

Thanks again fellas. Hopefully I can pick up a little this weekend. If the track hooks as well as you guys say then there shouldn't be any reason why I can't run well.

I think SW has a JDM "short block", which consists of a stock block, stock crank, better rods & pistons. |

Good runs man, so did you remove all of the excess weight? I know the factory seats weight a lot, especially the driver's seat. Magoo, you might be in trouble come this Saturday. Sounds like there may be a few fast Lightnings to compete with all the Cobras!

Congrats Spencer that's awesome. Jason I've been worried about being outrun by one of these lightning guys since the drag day in March when Mike damn near ran a 10!! I'm sure I'll be knocked down a couple notches on the ET List after Saturday!!

It's a JDM block. The only weight I removed was the toneau cover and tail gate. The sway bar, hitch, spare tire and winch have been removed for a while. I thought about removing the passenger/middle seat but left it in. I will be going to race seats and a center console soon....
