This place is also fun to go to. Its part trail riding and part MX track. I raced this track with the GNCC back in 05ish and had a blast.

No I wasnt pro. I did a couple events in the GNCC series and was very amateur to say the least. Its not easy being competitive on a big bore yamaha blaster.

I never got into gncc. Loved Mx though. I hope to get another bike after the mustang is done and start racing again.

GNCC is just like riding out at Wambaw with a Mx track added to it. They give you two hours to see how many laps of the course you can complete. It sounds a lot easier than it is.

But I know what you mean about MX there is no other rush like landing a huge jump especially on a quad.

Quads seem to follow you when things go wrong. Never tried racing one of those.

I'm a woods rider myself. On two wheels, of course. I used to practically "live" on the Wambaw trails most every weekend until the forest service started closing the trails because they deemed them too wet to ride at times.

Back when $4 a gallon gas was here, that really put a damper on going anywhere far away for me, anyway.

My riding pace is solidly in the range of a B class enduro rider. I tried a Yamaha Raptor 660 for a year to see what 4 wheel woods riding was about. I found it is a different kind of fun vs. a bike kind of fun. I had a blast on it while the trails were smooth, but I did eventually tire of getting stuck behind lap traffic on the quad with no way to get around them and I sold the quad for a KTM 450 EXC four stroke bike. Now lap traffic isn't a problem anymore and I haven't looked back since.

I am foaming at the mouth to see when KTM finally comes out with their rumored direct injected 300 two-stroke. It was originally slated to be a 2010 model year introduction, but they held off for some reason. Stay tuned for 2011, I guess. That will be the one bike I will give up my 450 four stroke for.

As soon as KTM comes out with that direct injected 300 two stroke, I will offer you a deal on my KTM 450 EXC.
