Default brewer's speedway

if any of you guys live in eastern nc and would like to do some racing on dec.7 th please come out to brewer's speedway in sharpsburgh, nc. it will be open only from 12 til 3. it will be a who has the fastest ford, chevy, or dodge. it will be some "spirited" racing between some ford vs. chevy trucks to see who is the baddest. so if you have a fast(street) chevy truck or ford truck come out and have some fun. according to a lot of chevy guys around my way the lightning boys are slow

Sounds like a good time. Maybe Ronnie or Arthur can go up there and represent the Lightning guys. If my truck was running I'd give it some serious thought.

cool, because they really dont think much of lightnings. my friend has a gen 1 that will be there but he will likely be the only lightning if anymore dont show up. hard to beat those 70-92 sb chevy's with their 383 stroker's with the ole-"cam-only" gen1.

supposedly there is one that is coming out that runs around 7.6 to 7.8(brewer's is a 1/8 mile track). i know of at least maybe 1 or 2 that runs in the 8.0 to 8.3 range. the rest havent been on the track this year. they are trucks that have just completed their engine builds are going to try them out. 1 is a 383 stroker and the other a 454. neither driver has never raced at the track(nor street) but they are talking major trash. i wish a gang of lightnings would just show up and let them see what a sport truck should run like

They would have their hands full with some of the lightnings on this site. Still a 7.6 in a truck is a respectable time.

blk93,
If there isn't many lightnings at this event, get some of those guys to join this site. That way we can set up a track day at a more central location for all of us to meet.

most of these guys dont really frequent the internet much. they tend to call us that do "internet racers". they dont really see many lighntings in this neck of the woods so they dont have much respect for them. if it isnt a sb chevy they really dont have much respect for it anyway. every now and then one may come through that could ring their bell but they see it as a one time fluke. almost all of these trucks are daily drivers. the one that claims to run 7.6 isnt from around my way it's just a truck that someone claims they know of and has invited the driver to come and run. i really don't see any others getting in the 7's to be honest. but my buddy (89 short-bed 383 stroker) does run in the 8.20 range and im thinking he will probably be the second fastest to come out. like i said the rest are untested, driver's and the trucks. i am slated to race another guy(untested) 383 short-bed with my friends 93 lighntning. he has never been on the strip so my intentions are to leave him standing still when the tree comes down and hope my low 9.0's to high 8.9's can hold him off. i did it last year against a 2002 trans-am so we will see.

I would enjoy running with some fast street trucks. If you are right about their times, I might even be able to inch by some of them. Of course, I wouldn't be helping with the Lightning representation. It is a good ride for me and Xmas is destoying my fun budget, so I probably won't be able to make it. Maybe they'll have another truck event later when I can make it.
