I went on vacation last week to KY to visit family, and fell off of the wagon on walking over the past few weeks. BUT, as of last night I am still down to 227. My short term goal of 215 should be attainable by my birthday at the end of April. Then to start phase two with much more serious excercise and diet focused on loosing fat, not just "trying to watch what I eat"...
Also as Csikx said, riding a bike is something I want to look into. I have a bad knee and running is just out for now as my extra weight just kills me after about a half mile. Walking is ok as long as its no longer than 2 miles at a time, even if its twice a day. A bike is much easier on your joints over all so I am looking for a road bike when tax return comes in.

Hey CSIKX, I ride a road bike competitively, and for recreation. It is great for fitness! I average about 7,000 miles a year or so when I am training hard....

The Marington trail on the base in Goosecreek is great for riding. A little bumpy from all the roots but definately one of the best mountain bike trail available to us locally. I used to ride it weekly but my trail partner moved to Greenville so it's been about six months since I've been.
