Default Battery relocate

Wanting to possibly do this to free up some engine space since its so cluttered. You guys using a kit or just buying the wire? I was just going to pick up some wire and do it without paying for a kit. What thickness of wire and where can i find it??? Whats the best place to ground to in the trunk area?

This. Then go through trunk floor and grind off a spot on the frame rail to ground to.

All I did you wire was buy some 1/0 welding leads from air gas and my grandfather got a battery box from one of his friends for me. It took about 17 feet to run from the back of the hatch in the fox body to the starter solenoid up front.

this is what i would do. for a street car especially... i would go on the thick side with the cable. cant remember what comes in the jegs kit, but seemed like it was 2ga. or 4 ga. i would get 1/0 from a welders supply place. you can get a battery box from jegs or even walmart.

Buy the UPR kit. Comes with everything and looks good, not too bad in price either
