Are there any shops in the area quilified to stroke and forge the 4.6?

another option is Roberts Automotive.

Also don't believe everything you read on the Internet. especially forums like this, get more than one opinion.

Some people may steer you in the wrong direction.

Roberts FTW! And where was Formgen at the track rental??? My "not stock big hood" mustang wanted a good race....

Like I said don't believe everything. You might want to call some of these shops and see what they have to say.

hey my buddy had a "certain local shop" build his 2v....$9000 later, mind you this is N/A still!, he had a turtle of a motor. Forged, yet only made 12 more hp than his stocker.......

motor had like 5000 miles on it and it went boom. The kid had it dynoed, and thats the only time he got to actually get into it.

heads=horsepower
cubic inches=torque

you can build 2 engines different sizes with the same heads and the bigger engine may not make any more power but will make it at a lower rpm.

you could also check with Modular Powerhouse in Cartersville, Ga . They have some good results too. I wouldn't recommend anyone local

i highly recommend Modular Powerhouse as well- but you could just skip the middle man and call ProLine. That's who builds the motors for Modular Powerhouse.

And I wanted to come out that day but some stuff came up. I do want to get out to the strip one of these days though.

little birdie told me it is a forged stroker motor. anyway i am sure it will be fast.
