Watched it at a local bar. BJ Penn was a buzz saw. I don't think Matt Hughes had anything for him unless it went into the later rounds, but even then... BJ was throwing with bad intentions.
Machida dissappointed me. I wish he would have turned it on more in the second round because I think he could have ended it instead of it going to the judges. I think he was a little worried about getting caught with a haymaker and tried to stay on the outside. He basicly ran out of rounds. If it was a five rounder I think he had it. It was a good fight though.

Cheal Sonnen's suspension has been dropped to 6 month's wonder when he will get another fight.

Did you seethe interview during the ultimate fighter? GSP looked focused. He may go all BJ Pen/ Matt Huges on his ass and clear him out in the first minute. I would like to watch it. Who's on the undercard? Anyone worth a shit?

seems to be the final card as of today
MAIN CARD: UFC Welterweight Championship Georges St-Pierre (c) vs. Josh Koscheck Stefan Struve vs. Sean McCorkle Jim Miller vs. Charles Oliveira Joe Stevenson vs. Mac Danzig Thiago Alves vs. John Howard PRELIMINARY CARD: Mark Bocek vs. Dustin Hazelett Jesse Bongfeldt vs. Rafael Natal Matt Riddle vs. Sean Pierson Joe Doerksen vs. Dan Miller TJ Grant vs. Ricardo Almeida Pat Audinwood vs. John Makdessi and yes i seen the interview.. gsp always look stone cold killer and calm... kosh always look like a clown imo: kosh has everything to prove and better... gsp has proven many a time he is top teir. gsp is more rounded and has more experiance. i think it will be a suprise. i really think kos has a game plan and will put up a good fight for 2 rds... altho i think gsp will play the game as will allow it to go a few rounds to prove he is adaptable and reconizes the game plan.. than will implament his own and will be a gsp push.. wear kos out... but he may get caught in the first round and a half... he would be smart to push first round.. we shall see.. again all my opinion

Anyone watch the fight last night? Kosh looked like he got hit by a truck, GSP looked great. After round 1, Kosh should have been saying "Cut me Mick!"
Cant believe Daddy Stevenson got caught by that punch and KO'd either.

new year new fights whats coming down the pipe?
i see ufc bought out wec... so faber will be fighting http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zCIWW...layer_embedded the article 4 a small read. http://www.mmafighting.com/2010/10/2...erge-in-2011/3 might get some more decent fighters... shake the feild up. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^above post^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ gsp vs kos... gsp rocked him im sure u all herd. kosh also stated it was amped up by him for rating/drama and i can see him doing this. i will say he gave it an honest fight tho.. he was outmatched and it showed. i was kinda excited to see it go the way it did as far as kosh getting beaten like it was a meat mallet... but after a little time i kinda wish it was more a neutral fight or it had a bit more excitment ufc 126 February 5, 2011, Anderson Silva and Vitor Belfort will headline the pay-per-view event.

news:
Though it seemed in recent weeks that UFC's heavyweight division had lost steam -- its champion, Cain Velasquez, required major surgery to repair a torn rotator cuff; rumors swirled that the company's strongest pay-per-view draw, Brock Lesnar, wasn't keen on fighting; and the media regarded Strikeforce's heavyweight tournament with great interest -- Tuesday's announcement that Lesnar would coach alongside contender Junior Dos Santos during the 13th season of "The Ultimate Fighter" quickly changed that perception.

After almost 3 minutes of just walking around in the Silva vs. Belfort match I was about to fall asleep.
You would think with all the confrontation they had, someone would at least throw a punch at the ring of the bell. I forgot who attacked first but they spared for a few seconds and Silva got a lucky front kick to the face and pretty much knocked Belfort out |

overall i thought it was a good event. i am glad griffin won it. i also like silva more and more when i see how he handles himself and the true concern he gives his opponent even after such a grudge.

I'm just glad that Bones whooped up on the very 1-dimensional Bader. I dislike all of these "Safe" fighters that use wrestling to earn points and stall action (watch his fight against Lil' Nog).
Jon Jones is a beast. |
