Thats just some trash on the top lip. Ive looked it over pretty good and i dont see anything out of the ordinary in any cylinder so far. Ive still yet to take them all out though.

Told ya it fried pistons at the ring land thats serious detonation and by how clean the affected area was its was likely fuel related.

Got the pistons out today... much worse looking out of the cylinder than it was inside. Had a pretty large gash missing. Im pretty sure the cylinder is going to be easily fixed but im alittle worried about the rod that was on the said piston. Its not cracked or bent, but it does have some of the piston sprayed on the top (can sorta see in picture) other that that it still moves fine even on the pin. No damage persay, but i didnt know if that will have any effect on it later.

i'd be worried about that cylinder....

the rod would get swapped out just for piece of mind...

and the injectors would definately be sent out....

how much boost were you running? any spray?

and whats the rod bearing look like on that cylinder?

16lbs of boost no spray. The cylinder isnt as bad as the picture makes it look, in fact most of the stuff in the picture is piston build up thats higher than the actual cylinder. Ill have it at the machine shop soon and ill know for sure, but ide guess a 30 over will be plenty. All of the rod bearings looked the same. The injectors were almost brand new, maybe 4k miles on them but ill be sending them off to check them out.

If the cylinder wall isn't too bad, why don't you just hone it?

Here's a couple pics from my last mishap. This was the worst of 3 cylinders, and it happened in 60'.

If i can get by with it i will, but im doubting that will be enough. Probably at least a 20 over... hell i may be wrong and it may be gone, i wont know till i take it and have it looked at soon.
