Default Roll bar install on the L!

I finally installed the roll ball kit that I had picked up from JJ@WMS at FFW in Richmond, VA like almost 2 years ago. Thanks for having this kit developed! The job came out very nice and I am satisfied. Now, I can be legal to run at FFW to 10.00. Any faster, in which I hope so, then I guess it is time for a 8 pt or 10 pt cage. I have some big plans in the works and this part had to be completed.

Here are some pictures. Enjoy!

Bars going through the back glass. I live by a military post and sew shops can sew just about anything. I am going to have black zippers sewn in on the cover.

Picture of the Main Hoop. All the bars are primed and I will be painting them in the near future. That should take a weekend!

Another picture of the Main Hoop from a different angle

Lower part of the swing out going to the frame

Swing out arm

Picture of the truck:

Next up is to finish up the fuel system

Just a picture of the engine

Looks good Ronnie! Did they sandblast through the glass? It doesn't look like the lexan windows

Looks awesome Ronnie!

I'm pretty sure that's the rear window that comes with the kit. The two outside windows are lexan and have the grommets already in them. And the center slider is glass and tinted. I'll be ordering my rear window through JJ and that's what he said the $650 would buy me.

Also, I spoke with a gentleman down in Ocala and he said that NHRA regulation only mandate a 5-Point cage for vehicles running up to 10.0. He will be installing my cage in June and a 5-Point is all I'm having him do.

Very nice! Don't forget with a cage it invaladates the stock seat belts, and you have to use a 4 or 5 point harness.

Also, you have to use a wrap around harness now, no more bolts.

FFW requires a 6 point to run in Tough Truck. Why wouldn't put the extra point on the passenger side? It will only serve to better stiffen the frame anyways.
