1". Helps with clearance issues. It probably is a good size to trap the 1/4 mile with. Sometimes slapping huge tires on a vehicle is not needed to haul ass

I ran 28" 10.5/16 Hoosier bias slicks for years on my Lightning. They worked well down to the 11.0 threshold. At that point I needed taller slicks and switched to Hoosier radial slicks. Night and day difference! The radial slick feels so much better at the top end.
The full slick works much better than the QTP DOT rated "almost slick". And I never thought the Goodyear worked as well. Never tried the MT. Jim |

I ran Hoosier QTP 27x11.50's on my car and really didn't have any issues. They didn't seem to sway around or anything. 1.5-1.6 60' times.

The tires worked fine, I had other rearend issues. I mainly ran them cause the class I was in a class that allowed up to 10.7" of tread and they were like 10.4"..

Personally, I like the look of the 26x10.50 M/T slick with the stiff sidewall. Didnt roll around much on the big end. My turd went 1.32 60 ft with these. Keeps that "street car" look IMO.

Have you thought about the E.T. Streets. I have had them on 2 cars in both 26 and 28 inch and my car always seems to 60 ft better. It doesnt "dead hook" out of the hole and bog the motor any, There is JUST ENOUGH slip built into them it seems that it doesnt bog, it just GOES!
