Crank pulley/balancer install tool

Anyone have a tool I can borrow later in the week? Either a homemade one or the Kent Moore or Hawk Performance tool? Willing to rent it or buy beer whatever is needed.

Eh....was hoping to not have to beat on it, but I will worst case. I've heard some horror stories about using the old bolt to pull the draw the pulley in. Guess if I get more than 3 or 4 threads into the snout it will be okay right?

Most don't have the right one, or so I've been told. Would love to buy the tool, but don't have time this go round.

Yes, I have one. Brand new, never used. Only stipulation is that if you break it.... well you you the rest.

so what is the verdict on the truck?

Not 100% sure. Replaced o ring with the fatter, idiot proof orange one and no issues at all. Crews Chevy put the motor in and used a blue o ring. Had decent pressure. PCM removed blue and replaced with blue and had questionable pressures. I used the orange one which is a little fatter and narrower inside diameter and all is good.

Crews mechanic even told me he pulled an orange one off old motor but GM provided them with a blue one in his parts "kit."

Oh well all is good now and pretty painless work.

Not exactly. Consensus from u guys was a pinched or cut or otherwise damaged o ring. It was not damaged at all just was the wrong one lol.

atleast it was something simple and its taken care of prior to any damage being done.
