Default New Daily Driver

Well, I knew when I got back I was gonna get a new daily driver. But..when this car came up for sale I bought it. S281 Saleen with no mods and never been wrecked. It's in great condition with 77,000 miles and I got her for $13,500. She is already at the shop that is gonna do the work. Not my fav color so the engine is getting pulled and the entire car is getting painted. Going to House of Color to pick a color when I get back into port. I think its called Byrillium Yellow but that's the color I want. She is my daily driver so the only mods going on will be headers, Bassani X/w cats and Borla stingers. Getting a tune as well just to make sure she is perfect. Maybe one day I will get the Cobra a long block and drop the Cobra's plant into the Saleen. Anyhow..it's all Tims fault for having me fall in love with his old love. Saleens may not be the fastest Mustang but IMHO they are the best looking. Just dont tell my Cobra I said that Shane

Congrats. House of kolor paint is kick ass. Have you looked into any DUPONT HOT HUES colors? Sometimes just a tad cheaper for the same color..FYI

she's a beauty....reconsider the headers....those cars are so borderline tune wise that you'll literally need cobra pumps, maf, injectors ect ect...there really is no "oh im just gonna throw midlengths and and an xpipe on it" lol

Nice car for a daily driver. I would painting a collectable car a different color hurt the value. ???

It's already been repainted from what I was told. Just found out the compression on #3 was too low so they are putting a new shortblock in. So thats nice of them. -Shane

Cool. What year is the car? Do you need a slow truck to complete your fleet?

shane, you HAVE to get the "mosaleen" idler pulley for that car, whether its stock or heavily modded...let me know when your ready to buy it and i'll put you in touch with the guy that makes it. Its about $150 and worth every single penny...the 1 gigantic belt saleen uses just slips everywhere, even in stock form, and with a gatorback

Latest....motor is fine but a valve needed to be replaced. They used a scope to find out from what I was told. So..I got the quote for the paintjob...$1250 to pull the motor, tranny and all engine bay wires and reinstall, $4500 for the paint job and the car will be stripped before painting. House of Color paint and leaning towards a Orion Silver with either some extra flake, color shifting paint or pearl. Any ideas guys on what you would do? Will post up some pics as I recieve them on the progress. -Shane

Why Silver? Grab the Sun Glasses. Plan on Chroming it out too. Mr. Bling King!
Leave it RED!
