I've built 2v's....both can be done full built shortblocks for $4-5k and have the best of everything. now assuming the heads are alright and the supercharger, I dont see how it comes out to 10k when your doing your own work. Even if your not...i still dont see it getting past the 7k mark.

Slowleen,
I would be willing to bet you that the link below is what will be in that truck when it's all said and done. $8,995. + shipping ++, and that doesn't take into account any "nic nacs" that it will take to finish the job, nor the tuning, nor the labor to install it, ect.... I don't think he will be replacing it with another "weak rod" stock block.

This is a motor like Mike has in his truck.

I shouldn't speak for these other guys, but I'm sure some of them will chime in about this.

Sorry to hear man but that's why you never beat on a vehicle before you put it on the dyno to check the A/F. I've had "custom" email tunes that when I went to the dyno my car was crazy lean....like 14-15 AFR!!! You never know what could be wrong so it's always best to just eat the $50 to spend on a dyno to be safe instead of 5K for a motor....
Kevin, that wasn't an "email" tune. That tune was from JDM especially for that motor with headers,A\F was a fat 11.3

No, you're exactly right Larry. Oh you can definately build your own block cheaper,if your block isn't vented but we feel JDM is the way to go.It is alittle pricey, but you get what you pay for. Custom built to your specs, balanced, blueprintedand the tech help is great and besides were not really price shopping, because we have a money tree like Chris says

I like the Saleen truck. Headlights look like the same headlights off the '07 FX2 sport . Only thing that I am iffy on (per internet pics) is the rear bumper. Don't know why.

I like the way it looks still undecided about its performance.

EDMONDS.COM:
It's not exactly a hair-trigger experience, though. The F-150 is a pretty sizable piece, and the fully optioned S331 supercharged truck weighs in at 5,500 pounds. We learned in our test of the 2007 Roush Performance Stage 3 F-150 (which offers virtually the same power and weight) that it takes a full 6.8 seconds to get to 60 mph, while the quarter-mile comes up in 14.9 seconds at 93.3 mph.

Doesnt quite stack up to a stock L, let alone mine. Heaven forbid if one of these came next to mike and tried messing with him.

You are exactly right....believe me, between Dad, Daryl, and Bill looking up engines they are not cheap, i can see that they are FAR from cheap, but worth the money.

Even if they arent cheap everyone with a L should have one

Cough Cough, Heltra and Whaler and Jason and whoever else has a lightning on here. We can have one big engine putting in party at Mitch's.

Yeah I read that too but I dont always beleive Manufacturers claims. The L's weigh 5000 # stock and it a regular cab. That truck has to weigh more. Plus those 23" wheels kill its performance. Not sure if all that is worth 60K+.

SORRY
