Well I had the first 1/4 mile time in the s10 w/ 350.
60ft-1.76 1/8-7.67 1/4-12.34 I don't know where it lost its power. but it didn't seem to want to pull at the top end. Do these numbers seem about right? I am hoping a bow tie owner will jump in and let me know.

1/8th and 1/4 seem to be in line. What did it trap in the 1/8th and 1/4? 60' time? Nice run, Chris.

Not bad for a V-8 Chevy. Never pictured you driving a bow tie.

Morey, the cost to build a S-10 is 2/3'rds of what it would cost to build a ranger.
Plus the swap has more aftermarket parts available to do it cheap. With a chevy you can use a 350 block as well as a 400 block & everything bolts up. The cost to build a 415" chevy is half compared to build a 408" windsor. If costs don't matter the 408-427" windsor is a bad dude. Bill Anybody out there has a S-10 with a small block for sale PM me. Bill

what was your trap speed? my car went 7.6 and went 11.7 at the top end. but it trapped 118 in the top. but that was in a car with top end pull, you have a truck that i assume is mostly low end power.

I have a 89 s10 with a 350. the motor has good heads and a good size cam. im not sure what cam it has. i bought it the way it is. it went 7.6 at 93 and 11.7 at 114. i got a little carless with it. it has a rod knock now.
it weighs just under 3000 with me in it. the 1/4 time on yours is off a little but i could help you with it. old school carbs and no computer is what im good at. what kind fuel pump does it have. could be running out of fuel on top end. |

The time slips here do not give the mph. I am going off of what Rob's computer said I finished at. I crossed the line at 96mph. I was faster than that in the middle but AK is wierd and I don't know how fast it went.
