Slightly confused... Caption says C5R. I thought this was a C5R (or these-in the case of this pic):

The car in that vid looks mysteriously like a Camaro. Maybe some F-body guys are just dillusional as to what kind of car they have.

Ditto. Thought a C5 was a vette.

Yep, back when Chevrolet started putting factory sponsored teams back in American LeMans Series Racing, they were using the C5 Vette which was sporting a C5R Engine. I think just a C5R bare block was about $6,500. I dont know how much C5R heads are but if I'm not mistaken those monsters flowed in the high 300-400 CFM range

The pics of the cars you guys posted above is the C6R Corvette but I dont "think" they designate these motors C6R motors

Its rumored that "someone", no names mentioned in Columbia has a C5R stuffed into a certain 4th gen

That was Sheila River's car, the same car Wes had, which is now in California and the motor is in Canada, unless theres another one up that way, I do know of a certian 'vette in Columbia with a C5R and blower

Last time i talked with Jason up at Katech he said the C6R block would never be available to the public, he said it would be upwards of $40,000 if they tried to sell it, I dont see many people spending $40k on a ls block

Jason might have been talking about a C5R shortblock. About 4 years ago, you could get a C5R block. List price was 6,500. Also, you and I both know anything Katech sells has a multiplier of 20 on the price.

Yes, I was talking about Phil and Sheila's Trans Am.
