You sure you have an 8 lower? I had a 4 lower makin that much, measure the pulley and see what size it is.

Example:
7.5 inches = stock
8.0 = 2lbs
8.25 = 3lbs
8.5 = 4lbs
8.75 = 5lbs
9.0 = 6lbs
9.50-9.75 = 8lbs (looks like a steering wheel)

Add approx .5 inches for every 2 lbs.

Upper pulley
2.93= stock
2.80= +1-2 Psi
2.75= +2-3 psi

All of these are estimated gains but should get close depending on the mfg. of the pulley

Don't make any differnence on the guage really ,I doubt you'd see a pound difference
stock airbox, stock TB, stock plenum, Dirty intercooler 4psi pulley made 13.5-14 psi even with a vaccuum leak

AEM Brute force,ported TB, and clean intercooler 4psi pulley made 13.5-14psi on same guage.

Biggest diference was when I adjusted the boost actuator, even on stock pulley I noticed a diff. on the guage probably due to the butterfly seating better and sealing up the leak by.

I think the reason that when people install all that stuff they see a boost diff. is because they adjust the actuator when they install a plenum or blower. I may be wrong, but all that stuff including a SC port just adds flow and efficiency not pressure.(those two things do add HP though)

Also I have added a 2.75 upper pulley to my 5lb lower pulley, before upper I would see 8 psi and then it would climb to 14.5-15 psi on the same guage. After the upper I see an instant 10 psi then it climbs to 16.5-17 psi. I only see this in a 3rd gear pull. On 1st and 2nd i see it max at 14psi before shift change.

Careful what you wish for with the more boost thing.

Don't push the actuator down too much, you'll get into boost much quicker. You'll be at half throttle and be seeing a few pounds of boost.
