How's the aftermarket parts market for the G8s now? Sad that Pontiac got the ax as opposed to Buick...especially after the Tiger Woods debacle...

60 foots are not where they should be, but i was happy with the first time out and hopefully will see some lower 7s in the near future with some taller/better tires
You said it yourself those tires havent been used in 3 years. Plus they were a little too short.

I am curious. If they were short wouldn't they in theory raise the "numeric " value of the rear gear? Thus entailing a quicker time down the track as if you did a rear gear swap?

That would be true, however, it sounds like there was an 'available traction' issue, as well

Plus it caused him to hit the rev limiter.

yeah the tires have been sitting for 3 years in the garage and was definately a little to short in my opinion. The 60 foots alone were terrible for such high mph and would spin thru 1st and half of second. I am looking at 28's or even 29's it they will fit. Nevertheless i had a blast and cant wait to go again when it is a little cooler and i have better tires.

Default 2011 5.0 Mustang

25" Tire's were slipping even when the car shifted, Also those tire's are 3" shorter than the stock tire's the stock shift points are around 7200 so add the shorter tire and slipping is why it was hitting the Rev limiters. Will do better with new drag radials

Mitch I think that guy is on this forum actually. I was disappointed when he wouldn't run you with slicks. He is launching in 4 wheel drive. Sounds like he wont take a race when there is a chance of him losing.

So do you know what is done to the truck. He said a stock 5.3 with some nitrous, but that definitely isn't right.

well It had an afr headed 6.0 with a couple kits on it. Peanut said it was a 5.3 with a cam and a 250 shot now. I dont think the 6.0 is in it but I could be wrong.

Hahaha, they haven't been sitting 3yrs. They were on the car when I was going back to MIR in sept of 09, the event ended up getting canceled but they got some street miles on them then. They've been sitting unused for about 15 months or so, but the last time they saw the track they were cutting 1.5's on my car after sitting for over a year.

Homo just needs some more seat time in that beast and to heat the tires up more. He was trying to be gentle and not burn the tires up too much.

Default Money for Race!!

I don't know who the Z-71 owner is but everyone say's he won't race for FREE!! Unless someone bet on me he raced me for Free, I'm sure he did because he stopped and waved me to the gate's when there were several car's in front of me, I think it was fun to lose the race now he needs to race a real truck, Fun or not I enjoyed the note on how SLOW my Truck really Is. Now Man Up and Race a Real Lightning, Bill's, Daryl's,Chris's,Randy's and Enjoy the Win or Loss. My Two Cent's Lurch
