Default Digital Camcorders

Looking to buy one that works good at night also. Somewhere between 200-350. Anybody got any suggestions?

Honestly, you can get a pretty good HD hand held on the high end of $300. It pissed me off when I bought mine and a month later the HD models cam out for the same price. If I were you I would go to best buy and play with a few of them and ask a lot of questions... then come home and order it online from a site that won't rape you as bad as bestbuy.

I'll probably buy something on spot. Looking to use it today. Poor planning on my part. Thanks for the info.

Ahh, well then you can't go wrong with bestbuy... although you will spend about 40 bucks more. They were really good to me when picking mine out. Good luck!

Don't know if you got it already but my two cents: JVC Everio. I have had mine for goin on 5 years now and thing has been on 3 of my deploymens and has been beat to crap yet still works like a champ! Only thing I have had to do to it is have it opened up to get the sand out of it (left it out to record a sandstorm ...

Sure haven't. Went to Best Buy yesterday and they was closed. Going tonight. I have been looking at that one already. Will have to compare others to it.

I wouldn't compulsively by a camera. I recommend doing plenty of research first. (reading reviews, finding the best price and seeing if anything newer is about to come out)

Best nickles worth of free advise right there!

There are a ton of choices out there. I was gonna upgrade to a new Everio but realized I don't use the one I have now that often and it works like a charm so no point. They are getting more compact too. Kinda crazy.

Bought a Sony HD HDR-CX150. Man it's small for an HD camcorder.
