I know a good bit about the EBCM module thing actually. It's a common problem. You can either try to resolder the grounds within the unit itself and possibly replace some relays, or you can send it in to absfixer to have him do it, complete with warranty. I can provide schematics, links, and more info if you want. There's a "How-to" on the forum if you wanna do it yourself. You can take off the module though an still drive the car, albeit without all the nannies. When I first bough my Z the unit was bad and I had to drive it from the mountains of NC, around midnight, in a heavy downpour/thunderstorm, on bald winter tires, with no active handling/ABS/traction control, lol.
