If you are looking for just a Fathometer then you don't have to go too crazy. If it is the boat in the pics then the draft can't be a few feet. If you aren't gonna be doing a lot of fishing and you just want to know depths then you can get an awesome ECDIS program for the iPhone or iPad with automatic updates, AIS data, and possibly local maritime weather features. But if you need something I may can get you a discount on marine electronics. Let me know.
