Yall bank to much on the weight factor. Weight doesnt do much from a roll. Just a dig lol.

Its true. With the right gearing from a roll weight wont hurt as much as it does from a dig. Now it KILLS me out the hole

Yep. Weight is the only thing that kept me side by side with the shelby that had almost 200hp more than me. If your car weighs 3,500lbs sitting still, it still weighs 3,500lbs at 140mph on top of the coefficient of drag that is now acting on it. But I'll stay out of this since I'm not the intended yellow Z06 target

But its easier to push 4400 pounds when your runnin 70 than when your leaving from a dig is my point.

Meh... yeah I know I'm new here... Hello all..

Now.. weight does matter. Example: from a roll a GT500(what I have) takes about 100-120 more rwhp than a C6Z06 to be able to win the race. 3800lbs vs 3100lbs does make a difference. You still have to get that weight to accelerate.. and that takes power.

Jesus christ people. I didnt say cars weight are equal from a roll. Holy cheese dip I said it doesnt hurt you as bad as ot does from a dig. Your going to lose alot more ground racing a lighter car from a dig versus from a roll. Yall are over thinking a simple statement.

Plus no two cars the same. Alot comes into play that can over take weight. Power. Gearing. Suspension. Shifting. Weight is one of many

Agree with you. Takes alot to get boats like our cars (3800-4400lbs) moving from a dig. Issue I have right now is either bog, or burn the tires up. 20" drag radials are just not enough sidewall for dig runs. Rolls, they hook up good though.

Simple. Do what I did. Make more power! 705 hp rolls nicely when it hooks and gets our land yatchs out the hole like someone lit a fire under a sprinters ass

At 571 right now, hopefully will be upgrading to a VMP TVS supercharger before summer. Friend of mine made 754 with this charger and full exhaust on his 500.

Planning to go with some 15x10's with 26" slicks for track, and 18x10 w/ x275 radials for the street.
